Looking for a free SVG to create some cool craft projects? I’ve created a ‘Miss Independent/American Flag Heart’ SVG design which is perfect for embellishing a whole range of items. From t-shirts and stickers, mugs to tote-bags.

Celebrating American Independence

Since America and independence are intrinsically linked, I thought it would be nice to create the Miss Independent SVG using the American flag as inspiration.

I love the red, white and blue theme — and the beauty of this design is that you can use the heart independently of the text, which gives so many more options for use!

What Can You Create With Your Free Miss Independent/American Flag Heart SVG

Well, you could print onto vinyl and create a cool t-shirt. But there are also lots of craft and home decor projects you can use this free SVG file for.

Cushions, mugs or garlands.

Even print it and pop it in a frame.

Or remove the ‘Miss Independant’ letters and just use the heart. You could make a cool banner — similar to the one above — by printing the hearts and joining them together in a garland.

Perfect for an Independence Day party.

Or you could even create some sweet stickers, as I’ve done here.

Create Some Stickers with Your Free SVG

I created a template on my Cricut Maker using the ‘Miss Independent SVG, and isolated the heart shape from the design to make a sticker sheet using the ‘print and cut function’.

I used a glossy sticker paper, and weeded the hearts and letters carefully using a scalpel. You can use the Cricut weeding tools if you have them.

Once you’ve weeded the sheet of stickers, they’re ready to use! Perfect for scrapbooking, use in planners and diaries, and even on gifts!
