Win a Family Weekend Pass for BlueDot Festival

OK folks. You may have gathered, from the title of this post, that I have exciting news to share. Let’s have a quick show of hands… who wants to win a family weekend pass for Bluedot Festival?? Yes?!! Read on…

You may remember that I wrote about Bluedot back in March. We’re lucky enough to be going along this year (as I’m covering it on the blog), and I’m really, really excited to be able to offer this experience to another family too .

It’s a festival that’s been on our radar for the last couple of years; Mr D was gutted to miss Jean Michel Jarre playing there back in 2016.

Bluedot offers the perfect mix of science, music — not forgetting festival fun — and this year is pretty special, as they’re going to be celebrating the anniversary of the first moon landings; which happened 50 years to the day, whilst the festival will be in full swing.

Celebrations and Shenanigans

It’s not the only 50th anniversary we’ll be celebrating at Bluedot Festival this summer! 2019 also sees a half century birthday for the Clangers.

Our favourites, Big Fish Little Fish will be putting on a special Clangers themed rave, to mark the event.

If you’ve never been along to one of their events, all I can say is, they are definitely as much (if not more) for the adults as they are for the children!

My boys (both the tiny ones and the big man-shaped one) loved the Basement Jaxx DJ set that we saw at Camp Bestival!

The celebrations don’t end there though!

Wallace & Gromit creators, Aardman, will be celebrating 30 years since the release of ‘A Grand Day Out’ and one of their expert model makers will be running clay modelling workshops at Bluedot Festival 2019. Children (and grown ups) will have the chance to create their own characters!!

I think you may find me here.  Particularly as there will be a Q&A session, where we can delve further into the animation industry. I’m pretty obsessed with stop motion so I think I’m going to love this.

Intergalactic Fun & Games

There are so many other things to do at this year’s Bluedot; the boys are especially looking forward to ‘Lightsaber Training’.

Perfect for my budding Jedis!

Plus, there are so many science-based workshops and fun, family-friendly things to do; I’m wondering how we’ll manage to fit it all to just three days.

Win a Family Weekend Pass for BlueDot Festival

But how can you get involved in all of these stellar activities and win a family weekend pass for Bluedot Festival for yourself? Well, I’m running a little giveaway over on my Instagram account at the moment.

It’s very, very simple to enter; just like a couple of accounts — and tag a couple of friends — to be in with a chance of winning!

One lucky winner will win a family weekend pass for Bluedot Festival 2019, which will include passes for the entire thing; for two adults and two children (aged from 0-15 years), including standard camping, worth up to a whopping £676!

Just to be clear, the tickets also entitle you to three days and nights camping — on the standard campsites — on Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July 2019.

This is such an exciting giveaway. Perfect for those of you who want to immerse yourselves in a weekend of space-age fun, brilliant music, workshops, hot-tubs, yoga, moon-celebrations and loads of other heavenly delights.

The giveaway ends at midnight on Saturday 25th May 2019 and a winner will be chosen at random.

UK entrants only, I’m afraid. Terms and conditions apply.

Good Luck!! xx
