Flowers. I love them. But especially everlasting blooms. I think I might have just found the best artificial flowers ever!
In all their guises, I’m a girl who loves nothing more than a vase of blooms in the house.
Goldfish bowls brimming with tulips, glass cylindrical vases full of lilies, or sweet little forget-me-nots or hellebores in tiny bud vases.
Flowers are the perfect way of injecting a bit of seasonal colour into a room and freshening up the look of a place cheaply and easily.
No fuss and for very little expense.

The Best Artificial Flowers I’ve Ever Seen
So imagine my excitement when I popped to HomeSense last weekend and saw they had an enormous INDOOR flower market! Bucketfuls of the most gorgeous blooms which weren’t in season.
One of my very favourite flowers are green hydrangea. But these beauties are generally summer fare and it’s rare to see them in the winter. So to be presented with so many of them — in full bloom — was a very welcome sight indeed.
So how was that then?
Well, they were all fake! The lot of them.
100% genuine faux florals — the best the best artificial flowers that I had seen in ages!
Guaranteed not wilt, droop or shed their petals. And perfect for giving all-year-round colour in the home.
The best thing is, if you pop them in a vase along with a few stems of real blooms, you have the scent of genuine flowers and it’s really, really difficult at first glance to see which are real and which are fake.
I’m a real fan of keeping things real but when things look as good as good as this, I’m all for faking it :)
Have a look at these Jane Packer faux flowers that I found in Sainsburys.

I am always looking at fake flowers but they always look fake. These look great! x
Ah Kate — honestly they’re SO fab!!!! I’m a real fan of good fakes… I’ve got a fake orchid in one of the darkest parts of our house and — until I mentioned it the other day — my sister always assumed that it was real!!! :)
Caro they look fab, I am obsessed with having fresh flowers in the house, I just love them and these look great x
They’re amazing aren’t they? It’s only when you get up really close that you realise they’re fakes! So realistic :)
They look absolutely gorgeous, they look real!
Amazing aren’t they?! Not *quite* as lovely as the real deal, but nearly!! ;)
Ah this is so timely for me, I love flowers too and have never consider fake ones ever before, however I want something low for a table and have been scouring the internet looking good fake ones. I had been to TK Maxx but maybe I should travel out and find a Home Sense. These are gorgeous and it was small stem Hydrangeas that I was looking for. Thanks Caro xx
The hydrangea are amazing aren’t they?! They’ve got really LONG stems actually, and look amazing in a big glass cylindrical vase with long stem lilies, but you can cut or bend the stems over — as I’ve done in the pics — to make them shorter! ;) Cunning!
They look so good! I always think of fake flowers as like ones from the 1970s which were so cheap and nasty- but these are fab. Come on HomeSense, open a store in Plymouth!
They’re incredible aren’t they? And YES! You NEEEED a HomeSense in Plymouth! Where IS your nearest store??
My nearest one is Bristol, and it’s out of town Bristol, and I don’t drive, so a bit of a trek on public transport – I’ve been once though, before Christmas, and could have bought the whole store!
Eurgh — that’s SO annoying!!!!!! We need to start creating a petition!!! You NEED a HomeSense in your town!!
Although…. I spend a blooming fortune in there, so it’s NOT good for one’s finances ;)
I’m impressed! I was looking at some cherry blossom type fake flowers the other day but the colours just were’t right. These look very realistic though.
They’re fab aren’t they?! When I said to my sister that I was doing a pice of faux florals she said ‘but you’d NEVER have fake plants or flowers in YOUR house!’ — I had to gently point out that the orchid, that lives at the top of our stairs is, in fact, 100% fake!! ;)
How strange I wrote about artificial flowers this week too. Although mine is just a wishlist, your photos are amazing I think I need a trip to Homesense. x
Great minds think alike lovely! DO go and check the Homesense flowers out — they are amaaazing! :)
Oh wow they are goo! I love your idea of mixing in a few real ones. Cunning! I haven’t been to Home Sense for a while but this is making me want to go even more!! Becky x #HomeEtc
They are SO good!! I put some lily stems in mine — just 3 quid from Aldi and I swear it looked like a £50 bunch of flowers!! ;)
What great fakes!! I love flowers too but it can be such a pain keeping the supply topped up – I’ve been looking for some realistic looking fakes to brighten up some of the other rooms, and these look like excellent contenders. x #Homeetc
They’re AMAZING aren’t they? Definitely a bargain too — at just £1.50 a stem, they’re as cheap as a decent bunch of flowers but last a whole lot longer :)
Ha ha, love the idea of mixing some faux blooms with real ones. That’s the kind of thing I would do. ‘Tis interesting, fake flowers have come on a lot of recent years. Thanks for hosting #HomeEtc. I plan to be back in the weeks to come.
I swear — when you mix them up it makes it very, very difficult to spot the fakes! ;)
