Orange. I love it. And Pantone Tangerine is one of the most accurate representations of the colour orange.
Fresh, zingy and bright.
I thought about doing an interiors colour story, to begin with, but that would be too easy. There are so many beautiful — iconic — things for the home in this shade; Arne Jacobsen’s Swan chair, Orla Keily’s Giant Stem wallpaper, Robert’s Revival radios, to name a few.
So I’ve assembled a little collection of wearable pieces, rather than home pieces.
Orange is a great colour to wear — it lifts my mood and makes me feel instantly happy — but too much of it, and you definitely run the risk of looking like an Oompa Loompa. And that — unless you are going to a fancy dress party — is not a good look.
Anyway — I digress — back to our colour story.
Pantone tangerine is the 8th colour in the spring palette. Leatrice Eiseman — who’s the Executive Director of the Pantone® Colour Institute — says:

I totally agree that it invites a smile! How can you be gloomy when you have a pop of orange in your life? Whilst the pieces I’ve chosen aren’t necessarily meant to be worn together, a little flash here and there can really lift an outfit.
And if you’re not brave enough to wear tangerine clothing, there are loads of lovely, zesty accessories which give a little nod to this zingy shade.
