Colour Your World | #2 Pantone Aquamarine

So a couple of days ago I was talking about the colour forecast for this spring and I started thinking about how we’d use some of these shades in the home. This time round I’m looking at Pantone Aquamarine.

It’s always a little easier to keep up with trends and fashions for our wardrobe — as the high street is always full of lovely, wearable, options — but buying a new top/pair of shoes/coat is one thing… re-decorating and making over our homes?

That is a real investment; both in time and money!

That said, we can easily update a neutral colour-scheme by adding accent colours and this is the perfect way to introduce the shades of the season into our homes.

Pantone have selected 16 shades that are going to be big this season. The first is ‘Pantone Aquamarine’; a soft, chalky blue.

I had a quick look last night and there are some gorgeous pieces, currently out there, available in this shade.

Here are my top picks.

Colour Your World | #2 Pantone Aquamarine

1. Blossom side table — Habitat
2. Luella Throw — Laura Ashley
3. Cloud Plate — Donna Wilson
4. Peppy Sofa — Loaf
5. Mimosa Silk Cushion — Clarissa Hulse
6. Vintage Ball Mason Jar — Pedlars
7. Revival iStream 2 Radio in Duck-Egg — Roberts
8. Trinske Triple Pendant Light – Enamel — Cox & Cox

Any one of the above would be a great way of injecting Pantone Aquamarine into our homes!

I might be choosing a few for mine! ;)

Next time, we’ll look at the second colour on the list…

    • Thanks for commenting Sarah — aaah I love it too! These chalky blues are so restful! There’s some lovely colours coming up that coordinate really nicely with it too. My husband is in despair at the moment! I’m constantly showing him new things for the home!! X

  1. This is such a gorgeous calming colour. I love all your picks here. In particular, that Donna Wilson plate is the cutest and that pendant light is gorgeous. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

    • It’s gorgeous isn’t it — although I’m not sure I 100% agree with Pantone’s naming of it! I would call it smoky blue or grey blue, rather than Aquamarine! Still — whatever it’s called, it’s a lovely colour! :)
