It’s the first of my Pantone posts for 2016 and what better way to start of than with one of their hotly anticipated colours of the year? This year Pantone have bucked the trend and chosen not one but two colours.
The first is Pantone Rose Quartz.
Now I’ve always said that I’m not particularly ‘girly’ and sugary pinks are certainly not high up on my list of favourite colours but I LOVE this shade.
It’s one of the most wearable, flattering tones that you can have next to your skin and it looks amazing in the home as well.
Team it with metallics — old-gold or copper sit beautifully alongside it — or sit it next to a fresh, leafy green shade and you’ll be in colour heaven.
There are so many things available to buy in Rose Quartz, on the high street, at the moment. It seems to have taken the retailers by storm and I spotted so many lovely products, it was difficult to narrow them down.
But I was so taken by this beautiful, bird print bedding from M&S that I figured it might be nice to work a little story around it.

So there we have it.
Pretty pink picks, for a restful and romantic bedroom.
Obviously, a room full of pink accessories may not be to everyone’s taste but paint a wall in this lovely shade and — according to Dita Don Teese, in last week’s Sunday Times magazine —
‘…if you have pink walls you can look amazing naked in every room.’
Now, isn’t that worth painting everything in Pantone Rose Quartz for?
